2023 Member Spotlight

Our member spotlight is Chelsea Venable.

Chelsea is a Talent Acquisition Consultant for Teknor Apex Company and has been in HR for 10 years.

Why do you value your membership with WTSHRM? "I value WTSHRM from the connections I have made throughout my membership. A great example is recently I attended our monthly meeting where Margaret Merriweather with A Step Ahead was our speaker. She was promoting the High School Young Ladies Empowerment group in Madison County. I connected with her after the meeting and was able to have her speak in Haywood County in hopes we can bring this initiative to our area. It was a hit! We are now working with other industry partners to pull resourced together. What a wonderful example of true partnership and being stewards of our local communities."

Her HR motto is: "You must be a true partner before you can be a strong leader. Partner with your team members and leaders on initiatives. Partner with your local non-profits and school systems in your communities; and partner with your local industrial HR leaders."
